I know this is a pajamas blog but when I saw a new infomercial for a product called Cuponk this morning I thought it was perfect for the Pajama Party section as a great pajama party game. Cuponk is a game that should only be played under close adult supervision. What you do is you take the cuponk cup and place it somewhere in the room. Then you take the cuponk ping pong balls and you set up a goal for the kids to throw it in so that the end result is that the cuponk ball lands in the cuponk cup. It sounds kind of boring or easy but when you play cuponk as seen on tv, you’ll see how addictive and fun cuponk as seen on tv really is.
The most basic way to play cuponk is to set up a line in the room and make the kids stand behind the line and then one at a time they have to toss their ball and the first one to get theirs in wins. You could also play it in reverse by the last person to get their ball in with this basic head on shot looses and doesn’t get to go onto the next round. If you chose this game where it progressively gets harder and someone is eliminated after each game, then you have a seriously fun game of cuponk ahead of you.
After the first person is eliminated, you can now make the game more tricky. Instead of just getting the cuponk ping pong ball in the cup, you can say the ball has to bounce twice before it lands in. It can bounce on the floor, off the wall or off anything but it has to bounce twice. This now makes the game more challenging. (If you don’t want anyone excluded you could always play by assigning cuponk points to the kids as they win they get more points so the first one in gets 5, the second one in gets 4, the third 3, etc… and make the total points for the first one be based on how many people are playing).
After that round you can now make it even more difficult by making them have to have 3 bounces with one of them being off the wall or they have to hit the ceiling and then get it in the cuponk cup.
Cuponk As Seen On TV is an awesome new game and I absolutely love how you can tie it into a pajama party to help keep everyone entertained. I do recommend since ping pong balls are small that you only play cuponk as seen on tv with adult supervision.
