This week was kind of rough for me and all I could think about was going home and laying in my bed or on the couch with a glass of wine, a book and my favorite robe. I really don’t feel like writing to much right now but I think you all know what it is like to have a bad day or week at work and want nothing but quiet and to relax and all I could think about is laying around in my robe with my favorite wine and a book and then to go into work the next day completely refreshed and ready to work though all of the issues.

The only way I know how to relax is to take a long bath, pour a glass of wine and put on my favorite robe while I watch a movie or read my new book. Ok, I was looking through SleepyHeads.com when I discovered a brand new bathrobe designer called Tepper Jackson. Ok I admit it, I am a huge Sex and the City fan. Not only was I hooked on the tv show but I also waited in a huge line with hundreds of others for the premier of the second movie the other week. In the spirit of the Kentucky Derby, Summer and Mint Julips in the South, I wanted to try and put something Southern and fashionable into this blog for sleepwear. Now, when thinking about things that make me think of the South, Kentucky and other things that are in right now I couldn’t help but think of Seersucker Suits.

So I am on a business trip and there is nothing I want more right now than a pair of really comfortable slippers. I am up north and it is freezing tonight.

For Summer you need slippers that let your feet breath and the heat escape since it is warm out. Gosh I love Fall. The brisk and cool air, the smell of the winter coming in and all of the wonderful hot apple cider that you can start drinking by the fire place with your family, friends or a loved one. So it has been a stressfull couple of months. I had a horrible job that I got out of and am now doing consulting work with some of the most wonderful and fantastic Clients on earth. One of them is a company that kind of ties into pajamas and is Removed from this post for not paying (because we have to do our hair when we get up and before bed, not to mention skin and nails), and thank gosh for them because if it wasn’t for Clients like these I would have gone crazy.
I was having trouble sleeping at night and getting a full nights sleep wondering if I would still have a job and if the company was going to let everyone go and what my co workers would do. Finally I said enough and took matters into my own hands starting my own company for when they would eliminate my position and sure enough it was a great decision so far.
Anyways, one of the things that did actually get me through the night was my pajamas. I bought some satin pajamas and I actually prefer satin to silk because although it is soft and smooth and feels great, you can actually feel it and it seems like Satin is a bit more of a durable sleeper so I wasn’t as afraid that it would rip while I was sleeping.
These satin pajamas not only were soo comfortable that I could relax and sleep in, but they felt great on my skin, kept me just warm enough but did not over heat me and at the same time were just so nice to be able to relax around my house in. I love satin pajamas and recommend them to anyone who is stressed out. Much like wearing a robe, satin pajamas are perfect for sleeping in and walking around the house in, however unlike a robe, satin pajamas don’t need to be secured so they don’t expose you to people on the street or guests who are staying with you and you can freely walk around in these pajamas.
Anyways, I think everyone should have a pair of satin pajamas and if you want something that is amazing to wear to bed, you may want to try some of the satin pajamas for women that are in the pictures and descriptions below.

I was looking at this other shop that I look at frequently when buying gifts around the holidays. Ya I know it sounds weird about shopping for other people for pajamas for the holidays, but I like to give pajamas and comfy clothes around the holidays to people, mainly because it is a stressfull time for everyone (especially if you are hosting a holiday party) and the one thing I know I love the most after a stressfull day is to make a nightcap, put on something comfortable and relax, which is why I normally give comfy clothing like slippers, pajamas and robes as gifts around the holidays.
Sooo….anyways, my mom hurt her knee yesterday and she is a larger lady. Being a person of size, normal robes wouldn’t work for her and because she isn’t able to be as active as normal, she probably needs something comfortable to be able to relax in while at home as well as be able to answer the door in, take on and off easily and be comfortable overall all day long. (It’s just a sprain, nothing bad and nothing permanent. The doctor told her to just relax for a couple days and she is already feeling better.) Although she probably doesn’t need a new robe, I think it’ll be a nice gift for her to get as a surprise and something she can continue to use even after her knee feels better.
Now don’t get mad that I said my mom is a larger lady, she is still one of the most beautiful women on earth and she carries herself very well….she just happens to enjoy eating and is a little bigger than society deems in shape and needs plus sized clothing.
