CuddleUppets as seen on tv puppet blankets

CuddleUppets

I just saw a commercial for the cutest new thing in bed time, Cuddleuppets.  Cuddleuppets are probably the coolest new as seen on tv product I have seen in a long time.  Not only do these combination of a puppet and blanket help kids to use their imaginations, but they also make bed time fun.  They can help your kids stay calm and sleep on a car ride and become one of their favorite toys.  Let’s face it, anything that makes bed time or nap time easier is better for everyone and that is the other reason I love cuddleuppets.

When you take a toy that makes a child use their imagination they have to dig deep and you help stimulate their mind.  With cuddleuppets your kids will have to not only create a voice, character and personality for their new toy, but they’ll also be able to comfort themselves if they choose a friendly one.  Once your child has their character created, the fun starts and doesn’t stop until bed time.  Then they have their new best friend to cuddle with and protect them while they sleep.  You can also make bed time into a game by having your kids tell you a story and make the puppet tell it in their voice to you each night before bed.

On long road trips the puppet blanket will not only help keep your kids comfortable, but when they get tired they can use the puppet as a pillow to rest their head on.  During the ride they can read and play games with their cuddeluppet and you can enjoy the peace and quiet without them asking how much longer every twenty minutes.  Cuddeluppets aren’t just great for the road though, they are also perfect for sleepover parties.

Cuddleuppets provide hours of fun for kids at sleepovers.  Each kid can take their cuddeluppet and you can make a game out of all of the different characters that they have.  You can buy every kind from the Pink Poodle to the Purple Monkey,  The Yellow Puppy and the Green Crocodile or even the Blue Elephant and the Brown Bear.  Each of these Cuddleuppets are loveable and your kids will enjoy playing with them for hours.

Cuddleuppets blankets as seen on tv are some of the coolest new as seen on tv products that have come out in a while.  I love them and think that your kids will love them to.  If you have a Cuddeluppet, feel free to leave a comment below and let us know how your kid loves them.  You can also buy them by clicking any of the links in this post.

Crayola Color Bubbles Sale & Games

So I saw a commercial for a brand new product called Crayola Color Bubbles.  Not only are the crayola color bubbles absolutely amazing looking, but if they are actually as bright as they look in the commercial, they are perfect for pajama parties and regular kids parties.  I love that crayola color bubbles are colorful and you can buy crayola color bubbles by the color you want because it means you can play about a million games with crayola color bubbles.

When we were kids we had regular bubbles or we would just take dish soap and make our own.  Other times we would take ropes and tie them into large circles and make giant bubbles.  The problem was it was hard to tell whose bubbles were the biggest or the best because when the wind would blow they would all group together.  Because you can now buy crayola color bubbles it is easy to tell who blew which bubble and be able to play games with the bubbles and actually know who wins.  Here are some pajama party game ideas using crayola color bubbles.

1.  Whose bubbles go the farthest.  This is probably one of the most simple games to play, but also one that kids love to play.  All you do is give each kid a different color bubble and you can let them choose a bubble toy if they want and you tell them all to blow a bubble at the same time.  Then you pick a direction and see whose bubble travels the furthest.  The person whose bubble goes the shortest is out and then you keep going until the last person whose bubbles go the furthest wins.

2.  Who can blow the biggest bubble.  One thing that we always loved to do as kids was see who could blow the biggest bubble.  The trick was to get enough soap on the wand and then blow just hard enough to get the bubble to grow but not leave the wand.  You do need to be careful because when we played this game we would always get soap in our eyes which always hurts.

3.  Bubble bow and arrow.  This one is a great party game.  What you do is create a huge target with a bunch of points.  Then you either place it on a wall outside in the direction of the wind or you draw a huge one on the concrete or your driveway with chalk and label each ring with a number.  You then have the kids blow the bubbles and whoever gets the highest score out of three bubbles wins.

There are a ton of other games you can play when you buy crayola color bubbles and because they are colored it is easy to see who wins.  The trick is to make sure your kids are wearing washable clothes that can get stained and you don’t let them play with the crayola color bubbles in your house.  The commercial warns about this in their fine print that clothes may take a couple washings to get the colors out.  You definitely don’t want your kids to stain your furniture so make sure they only play with crayola color bubbles outside and with parental supervision.

Summer Time Camping Pajama Party Games

Summer time is coming up soon and that means outdoor sleepover and camping pajama parties.  With outdoor and camping sleepovers or pajama parties come a ton of fun and fabulous games for the kids to play and even things for the grown ups to join in on.  Here are some of my favorite outdoor camping pajama party games for sleepover parties.

1.  Ghost stories – This is one for the adults as well.

There are three ways for you to have ghost stories for the kids.  You can read them and scare them.  You can give them each a stick and they have to add their own piece to make up the story or you can have each of the kids bring their own.  If the kids can’t bring their own ghost story to the party, then you can always buy a book of ghost stories at Amazon for cheap.  Then you can give each kid their own ghost story to read out loud.  What they don’t know is that you or one of the other parents can be hiding in a costume that matches one of the stories and can jump out and scare the rest of them.  Sometimes its fun to play a joke and campfire or camping stories are the best time to do this,,,besides halloween and april fools day.

2.  A nature scavenger hunt.

One of the coolest activities to do is a nature scavenger hunt.  Not only are the educational, but they are fun for everyone to do.  Unlike when we were kids, now many people have camera phones or digital cameras which take the education level to the next level.  Instead of hauling around a bag filled with boring things like pine cones, you can have the kids take pictures of things and photo document their hunt.  Now you can teach them about poison ivy and other hazardous plants without them touching them.  They can learn and not have to come in contact while having fun.  This way they remember it.  Other things are bonus points for pictures of animals like birds or deer and you can even do group photos like climbing a tree (with supervision so no one gets hurt) or everyone making a pose together under a specific type of tree or landmark.

3.  Create the coolest outdoor art.

One nice thing about nature is you have tons of color and things to decorate with for free.  Kids can use vines and berries to make wreathes and headbands or sticks and flowers to create mini houses and shapes.  Having the kids create and vote on their favorite artwork made from things they find in nature is a great way to keep them busy and not have to spend any money.

Summer time camping pajama parties are some of the most fun and parents love them because they are some of the least expensive.  Just make sure to bring other parents along for chaperon’s and so that they can scare the kids during the ghost stories.  You may also want to remember to bring other things like Glow sticks, mosquito and bug repellent and other camping gear.

SpongeBob Pajamas and Party Ideas

One of the most popular party themes is SpongeBob Pajamas Parties.  The problem is that most people don’t get creative enough to make their child’s spongebob pajamas party unique and one that everyone will be talking about.  The nice thing about the internet is that you don’t have to shop at the same store that everyone else does so when you are planning your child’s spongebob party or pajama party, you can now shop at a ton of stores including boutique so that your spongebob party will be unique.

To make this post easier to look through, I wanted to divide it up into 3 sections.  Decorating your house and themes; Party games, ideas and favors; and SpongeBob Pajamas for boys and girls.

SpongeBob Party Decorations and SpongeBob Party Themes.

1.  Turning your house into the ocean.  One thing that is fun that most people don’t think of is instead of actually buying spongebob posters and things for the wall, why not ask the kids to wear spongebob pajamas or spongebob costumes and decorate the room like the ocean.  Instead of spongebob posters hang up cut outs of coral or underwater pictures.  Go to the dollar store and buy starfish to decorate the table with the snacks and you can also buy a sea horse pinata or go with an actual sponge bob pinata.  If you decorate the house the ocean than the kids get to have fun being the characters from the tv show.

2.  Traditional SpongeBob Party Decorations.  The obvious way to have a spongebob pajamas party is to buy spongebob party decorations.  You can find them just about anywhere but my recommendation is to go through amazon which is why I put an amazing product banner at the top of this post with a few of my favorite spongebob square pants party decorations.  The benefit of shopping at Amazon is that you can visit multiple stores at once and pay at once.  This lets you buy a party pack from one place and snacks and favors from another and even a spongebob pinata at a third.  Amazon makes life easy when shopping for spongebob party decorations because they not only give you a giant selection from a ton of different stores, but you can also find unique things because you aren’t limited to the stores in your own home town.

3.  Set the room up like the beach.  Just like the ocean theme, the beach can also be a perfect spongebob party theme.  If the kids aren’t dressing up like the characters than you can decorate half the room like they are on the beach and the other half like it is the ocean.  On the beach part you can have all of the food and in the ocean part you can do drinks.  You can have games and decorations like sea shells and beach chairs on the beach side and you can put the characters and character decorations on the ocean side.  This way the kids can either play on the beach with beach styled games like corn hole or they can play in the ocean with their favorite spongebob square pants characters.

Sponge Bob Party Games.

1.  Sponge Toss.  One thing that can be fun to do is to take sponges and wet them.  Then set up buckets or targets at different parts of your yard or in a hallway where water won’t do damage.  You then blindfold the kids or let them see and have them toss the wet sponges towards the buckets.  You can break them up into teams or let them go by themselves.  Whichever team or person gets the most sponges in the most buckets is the winner.  You can also do this with ping pong balls if you have limited space or want to make it more challenging.

2.  Sponge painting.  Kids love sponge painting and what is even more fun is to buy a giant sheet of paper and let them sponge paint on it.  The other options are to draw out the lines and let them fill it in or to even let them do their own sponge painting on smaller sheets so that they can take them home as well.

3.  Spongebob party games.  The nice thing about a well known cartoon is that you can always buy a spongebob party pack with a ton of spongebob themed games already included.  I have added a few of them to the amazon banner above as well.  If you don’t want to have to go out and buy or set up the games, this is a great option.  I have also included some fun sponge bob gummy candies, lollipops and other fun snacks and party favors in the banner.
