Animal Slippers for the whole family
So my last post was all about kids pajamas and for the most part about bathrobes for kids. The reason I posted about kids bathrobes is because of winter coming and how it is nice to be able to keep warm when you get up in the middle of the night or come to the kitchen for breakfast. The one thing I forgot to talk about were people’s feet so I wanted to do one more post and post a bunch of my very favorite animal slippers for the entire family.

Kids Bathrobes – Bathrobes for Kids
Just like adults, kids want to be grown up and wear bathrobes. As we all know I am overly obsessed with my bathrobes and my slippers and what I realized was that I always forget to share some of my favorite bathrobes for kids. I talk a lot about kids pajamas but I never actually refer or talk about many of the bathrobes for kids or kids bathrobes which come in every style and color and material.
Not only is winter coming up fast on us and we will all be running for our bathrobes when we get out of the shower, but so are school sleepover parties and chilly winter nights. We all love our bathrobes because they keep us warm when we wake up to use the bathroom or get out of the shower so why should our children have to suffer? Throw The Perfect Halloween Pajama Party
Halloween is one of my favorite holidays and Halloween Pajamas are probably some of my favorite pajamas as well. The only thing I love more than Halloween pajamas and trick or treating has to be a Halloween party and a Halloween pajama party for the kids. There are a million things to do and a million party games for Halloween Pajama Parties and I wanted to share a few of my favorites with you all.
Halloween Party Games
I would like to mention real quick that these games need to be played under adult supervision. Children should never be unsupervised while around tubs of water, pointed objects like scissors or able to sleep with strong or masks on.
Bobbing for apples.
One of the most popular Halloween Pajama Party games has to be bobbing for apples. You take a large bucket or tub and fill it with water. You then take freshly washed apples or pears and drop them into the clean water filled tub. You then let the kids take turns dunking their heads into the water and trying to pull an apple or pear out with their teeth. You do want to make sure that they keep their hands behind their back though because it is cheating to use hands. One word of warning, besides making sure your kids are supervised since they will be dunking their heads in water, is to make sure you play this after pictures. Hair and halloween makeup come undone and run which can also stain your carpets, couches and clothing. Put towels next to the tub and make sure you have all the pictures you need since their halloween makeup and hair will be coming off.
Pin the nose on the Witch’s Face.
For this one the only thing you need is a large picture of a witch and place a dot where you think the top of the nose should go. Then you hand each kid at the party a piece of green construction paper or each get their own color and they get to cut out their own witch’s nose. If you use the same color like all green then make sure you write each kids name on the back of the nose and also put an x at the top left side of the nose so no one gets lost and you can determine a winner. Then give each of the kids markers and glue and other things to create warts and bumps and other nasty things witch’s may have on their nose. Once the noses are all done, place a piece of sticky tape on each nose and then blindfold the first kid.
Spin him around 5 times in front of the picture of the witch which is hanging on the wall and let him find it. Then repeat this same thing until everyone has placed their noses on the witch. After the last kid goes look and see who got closest to the dot with the x on their nose and you’ll know who the winner it.
Making their own masks.
All you need for this is elastic string, paper plates and a ton of arts and crafts supplies like glitter, markers, feathers, googly eyes, candy and other fun things. Then cut out spaced for eyes and maybe for a nose or mouth or even just make eye cover only masks and let the kids choose which shape and design they want. Then while they are supervised let them decorate their own halloween masks. When they finish you just need to staple the elastic to the sides of the mask and they now have their own handmade halloween masks to play in.
Scavenger hunts and Trivia Contests.
One of my favorite things to do with a Halloween Pajama Party is a scavenger hunt and trivia contest. What you do is you set up the scavenger hunt and break the kids up into teams. Let them go and find the clues and then on each clue you place a halloween trivia question on it. Not only do they have to figure out the next clue but they also have to solve a question. For each clue they solve they get a point. For each trivia question they get right they get another point. At the end of the hour, the team with the most points wins the game. Also if a team solves all the clues before the hour is over you can also have bonus questions waiting for them to keep them busy until the scavenger hunt is over.

Halloween is above and beyond my favorite of the early fall holidays…I have to keep room for eating and Thanksgiving and of course Christmas and Hanukah. Not only do you get to get dressed up in fun costumes but you also get to wear some of my very favorite sleepwear, Halloween Pajamas.

Family Guy Stewie Griffin Slippers

So I am in love with a website called CrazyforBargains.com. If you read this blog then you already know how much I love them because of how often I talk about them and link to their products. When I was in New York the other week at a conference they were there as well and brought me a gift for my boyfriend.
Not only did they understand my insane obsession with slippers and robes, but they also know that I love to give slippers, pajamas and robes out for holiday gifts so when we got together to finally meet they had a gift for me. I quickly opened the bag and found this cute pair of fun family guy slippers featuring Stewie Griffin.
The Stewie Griffin slippers are not only warm and plush like a stuffed animal, but they are also absolutely to cute for words. Unfortunately for me they are to large for my feet but my boyfriend loves wearing his new family guy slippers around the house and I’ve even caught him making a few quotes, mainly the one on the Family Guy Slippers.
The slippers are identical Stewie Slippers where Stewie’s head is above your toes and your foot steps inside his body. The bottoms of the slippers are my only problem. Unfortunately instead of being non slip, they do have some tread on them, they are a bit slippery when you try to run on a smooth surface, but then again they are slippers and most slippers are not designed for running but are more designed for comfort, warmth and fun. I absolutely love these fabulous family guy slippers and my boyfriend is probably never going to take them off again, at least until I can find a new pair of family guys slippers or other funny slippers that he will love even more than the stewie slippers.
